ETHICAL PRODUCTION: THE PRACTICES BEHIND THE PRODUCT

Essentially Foxtrot Threads is about providing unique, boutique, responsibly made children's clothing. The Foxtrot Threads mission boils down to two key goals:
1. Providing really special clothes featuring interesting and unique designs, and
2. Contributing our small part to shifting worldwide working conditions and manufacturing practices in the textiles industry.

All our t-shirts are ethically manufactured and made with organic cotton. 

The textiles industry has to start acting a lot more responsibly. Every purchasing choice can make a difference. That includes my purchases and yours! Foxtrot Threads are committed to genuine sustainability and healthy work practices. Our garments are ethically manufactured and made with organic cotton. Our garment suppliers are recognised by the Fair Wear Foundation (Corporate Social Responsibility), Ethical Clothing Australia and the Global Organic Textile Standard.

Fair Wear Foundation (FWF):

Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) is an independent, non-profit organisation that works with companies and factories to improve labour conditions for textile and garment workers.

Ethical Clothing Australia:

Ethical Clothing Australia assist local textile, clothing and footwear businesses to ensure that Australian workers receive fair wages & decent conditions.

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS):

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognised as the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain, including restricting the use of chemical substances and requiring compliance with social criteria. 

Organic Cotton:
Cotton grown without GM seeds, without harmful and polluting pesticides and fertilizers with a better water management. Cotton is alternated with food crops, giving farmers more diverse income while improving food security within the local community. Organic production preserves the soil, while conventional cotton production destroys it.
